I need some help for my first real trip

Post by Choctaw »

Hello,

I'm trying to start my planning for my trip and I am looking for help from veteran Gold Wing Riders.

I am hoping to ride my Gold Wing from Hastings, Michigan to Noxapater Mississippi and then from there to my ancestral origins to a place called Nanih Waiya.

I've researched some about how highway numbering works at that was all new to me and is good learning.

I will be by myself and the wife will stay home as I think that will allow me to cover more miles quicker.

If you have any information that may help please help.

Can you be more specific about what kind of information you would like?

Pick up a SENA communicator - or similar unit, and connect your cell phone. This way the wife can contact you while on the road. I did this this past June when I rode from Ontario to Victoria BC Canada. Sonya would call me whenever and look at my progress, make suggestions for routing, and such. Made her feel like she was a contributor, and there is less worry on her side. I really liked the call, broke up the monotony of the ride, especially on the prairies. Good luck. Cheers
