Hi Brian,
This event is close by my home location. I get to Hancock often as it is a good starting point for rides into WV, western MD, and south central PA. I will keep checking back to see what your ride plans are, and I will try to schedule riding with your group at least for Saturday.

Ride safe, ride often.
Em

Hey Em,

I have a cabin reserved so you are more than welcome to bunk with me.

You really should come as it is so close to you. I will let you know how I come in as I will be arriving Thursday afternoon.

Hi Brian,
I will keep that in mind. Either way I will put the dates on my summer ride schedule. Lots of great riding in WV. For the Friday ride are you going to the Flight 93 memorial? Great roads on the way out to Shenksville.

Some notes for the Flight 93 ride. Be sure to check out the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site a short drive from flight 93 and a hair raising miracle story of 9 for 9 local miners being trapped for over 3 days and all being rescued. They have a small museum with videos and artifacts of the amazing three days of the rescue.

From Quecreek pick up 30 e in Jennerstown for a great ride down the mountain and continue thru Bedford Pa and Breezwood to McConnelsburg. The ride on route 30 from Breezewood to McConnelsburg is amazing route 522 in McConnelsburg will get you back to Hancock. Stop at the Mountain House Bar for another great view with good food.

Need some food? Here are a few of my favorites of home cookin with large servings.
Somerset Pa. ---Summit Diner great food and save room for a slice of homemade pie, Pine Grill or a great barbeque at JB's Roadhouse
Bedford Pa. --- Bedford Diner or Landmark Restaurant more great valued home cookin.

I am from the area (Johnstown Pa.) and ride these and other local roads frequently. Just giving my 2 cents worth. Willing to give more ideas if want.
There is some great riding, great views awesome food and good people along the way here in Pa.

Virginia has the Lurray Caverns with some great roads for riding also.

The tent sites have water and electrical hookup. Cabins are available with electrical. I have a cabin reserved so I will not be bringing tent and other gear. As far as I know, if you can fit it into your tent site (and it is a tent) then fit as much as you can into it. Bring a swimsuit as the pool will be open! Group Dining arrangements have yet to be made but if you feel like cooking something in the middle of the night, by all means bring whatever you'll think you'll need.

I'm a biggy on making reservations ASAP. It sucks to wait a month or so before and find out that everything has been booked. If you find that you can't go, you can always cancel your reservation.

Lots of room for trailer parking. For pictures go here: Happy Hills Campground
Tent camp sites are E sites (water and electrical) - lower left corner. Cabins nearby
