Being new to this site, but owning Goldwings since 1999, was wondering if this is the equivalent of Sturgis, but for Goldwing riders ? Also is it held at the same location every year, and how does one find out and register or rsvp for the event?

Nothing like Sturgis except it is a motorcycle get together, just a group from this site that organize this and is more about riding than hanging out (but there is hanging out).
Different locations every year (eastern US, just where the main organizers are familiar with, and tons of places to ride) and is posted up in this forum usually around the first of the year with the info and signup stuff.

I have never been, but have been reading about them here for a few years. Maybe one year I will get out there.

It is not nearly the scale of a Sturgis. I think we had 40 riders this year, which was one of the biggest. While it's primarily Goldwings, all makes and models are welcome! There are rides of 150-225 miles a day, and different groups go out by level (slower, medium, faster). Everything is very informal. It'd be great if y'all wanted to join us next year!

It was a very nice trip to meet the people in this forum. You all can make a stranger feel welcome.

Not many pictures when you run the road alone but trust me it was pretty.
When I left Sat morning, I ran SR 10 straight up to Huntington and wiggled my way towards Athens OH. From there I road SR13 most of the way up until a routed thru Coshocton.

It took twice as long to get home but it's always worth it.
