PA destination: Kauffman chicken off I-78 exit 16
PA destination: Kauffman chicken off I-78 exit 16
If you want a great place to eat and a new destination about 25 minutes west of Rt 61 and I-78 (Cabela's/Hamburg), this place is not well advertised and the meals are fantastic. Located off exit 16 MIDWAY, go south to the first intersection. Make a right and take the first left which has a sign for the restaurant. Located just down the road on your left. We got there around 3PM this past sunday and no lines. We visited the previous sunday at 5 and waited for what seemed like forever to get the food. At about $10/person, it is a fantastic deal!

Sounds great, although from Louisiana,it would be a looooong ride
.Fortunately we have a Cabelas here about 40 miles away.I never had a burger there, but it's worth a run to try it.

Now that you mention it, my wording is a bit misleading. I was writing to mention "Kauffman Chicken", which is located not far from Cabela's Hambrug store, and an easy location most in the area know of. Their chicken is fabulous, as is just about anything else they serve. Been living here going on 20 years and have never heard of the place until last year. Apparently, well known by motor clubs of all kinds and a great destination for all kinds of bikers as well.

Quite alright.I didn't plan to go there any time soon anyway.I'll stick to the Cajun hole-in the wall places we have here.
