Valkyrie

Post by Rusty Bike » Thu Dec 01, 2016 10:19 am

I found a Valk for sale, '98 blue n cream color. One owner under 10,000 miles, never dropped! Same old story, bike sat for a couple of years then owner sent to some "performance" shop to get the carbs rebuilt. He rode it a couple of times and the pipes turned blue! The guy is pretty clueless mechanically, said must be running a little rich! Carbs are still screwed up or there is a vacuum leak. I have not seen bike yet but crappy pics show a neglected bike. Fellow lost his storage and needs cash. Bike is 150 miles away so I'm gona go look at it. Bike has a new battery and will run and drive. He is down to $2,500! Man, a guy could save a lot of money with a bottle of Sta-buil. Wish me luck...

Because he rides a 1200 and this is the only section he posts in, even though the post doesn't really belong here ;)

If I had the room and cash for another bike, yep, it'd be a Valk. I hope the deal works out for ya, Rusty.

Sweet. We want pics! (I do, anyway)
I like playing with carbs and would love to get my hands on those 6. I can't afford another bike right now and as far as I know, there's no one in my area that rides one so I haven't had the chance to tinker with someone else's yet

No intention to upset anyone.
I just wondered why you would talk about a Valk in the 1200 section.
Really sorry I asked. I won't bother you again.
