I was sorry to let Josephine go but having survived new cambelts I was showered with electrical issues including a fuse melted into place.

So she has gone. I bought a weird replacement. Anyone seen a Ctx1300 they are rare beasts and don't seem to have sold but oddly, wingers wave at them!

It's not a wing, luggage space is poor, front suspension absent. But its very long. Very comfortable. Has abs and traction. A sound system and led Headlights to land jumbo jets by.

So keep an eye out for us. We are rare lol.

LOT of bike for the money mind. Mine is 18/12 old and the same money would have gotten me a 12y old wing.

Then riding through Llangollen I saw two gorgeous gl1500 outside a cafe..

They are an interesting bike, there are a few people on the site who have one believe it or not.

Some pictures I took at the 2014 Cleveland motorcycle show:

Is that essentially the same engine as was in the ST1300. 4 Cylinders but with two to the right and two to the left as in a Vfour.

Based on the picture, it is a good looking ride and if that is the engine it should last like a Gold Wing.

Have fun with your new ride and if I see you I will wave.

the ctx 1300 uses a detuned ST 1300 engine. personally I'm not a fan of the ctx, seat is too low for me and I'm not a fan of the feet forward riding position
