SAVAGE PULL BEHIND TRAILER

Post by BUBBACAYMAN »

Twice now, last time at Wing Ding in Greenville, someone has come up to me and said,
"I WANT TO BUY YOUR SAVAGE TRAILER, AND PRICE IS NO OBJECT!"
Now I really like my 1990 Savage trailer hooked to my 1993 GL1500 Trike,
they go really well together on any type of roads.

BUT WHAT MAKES PEOPLE WANT IT SO BAD, THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO PAY
RIDICULOUS PRICES???

I dunno... it is a very nice trailer, but it is just a trailer. I like it a whole lot more esthetically than those ones that come to a sharp point in front. I kinda like the look of the Bushtec trailer, and they are a ridiculous amount of money to buy, so perhaps that is the reason. It looks more like a Bushtec than it does like a fibro concept:

It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

I haven't seen one before but I think it is the nicest looking trailer I have seen. It is very well designed, aesthetically.

Does anyone have a clue as to who the manufacturer was and if they are still in business.

I has always shown as a 1990 Savage Trailer on tag receipts. I think the original owner was in South Carolina. :?:

The Savage Motorcycle Trailer Company was located in Cleveland, TN from the early 1990's until the late 1990's. Attached are samples of brochures from the company 'back in the day' and photos of my trailer.

At least in a psychological or unconscious sense, it looks like they took the trunk from a Goldwing and made a trailer out of it, especially if it had the cyclops light on the spoiler feature. The real neat feature is the built in insulated cooler that was seamlessly integrated into the front of the Savage II and Voyager models. It tows like a dream...It's easy to forget I'm towing anything.
