Gl1500 Trailer hitch

Post by jazzrider »

My owners manual says not to pull a trailer with my 1500SE. Why is that? Don;t want a big one just a small one for a little extra cloths on long trips.

Every bike owners manual says to not pull a trailer - it absolves the manufacturer of liability for when people DO pull trailers, and get in an accident. Feel free to do what you like with your bike, it's more than capable of pulling a small trailer with a well-designed, properly-installed hitch.

wanting to do the same with my 97 Aspencade, what is a good price for a pull behind trailer? I even thought about making on, Sears has a good looking shell, just need to make the axle, and do my own creation with the looks.

Have seen them go from $400-up for the small cargo trailers. If you have a Harbor Freight store near by, they sell small trailer frames. Have seen a bunch made that way.

Nothing for sale right now. But since we only live 30 miles apart, I thought I could help you look.
