I've found the owner's manual and nav manual, anyone found the 2018 service manual?

I have checked with both Honda and Helm Inc, and it does not appear they have produced one yet.

2018 GL1800/D/DA/B/BD Service Manual and ETM
Honda Genuine Service Manuals lead the industry with clear, comprehensive presentation of motorcycle service and repair procedures. Each Service Manual is model specific and contains easy to read text sections supported by top quality photography and illustrations. A comprehensive General Information section offers the experienced technician at-a-glance service data without the need to review each specific section for specifications and tolerances. Less experienced technicians will benefit from section information that begins with an exploded view of the system, continues with all relevant service data, special tools information and step-by-step repair instructions including: disassembly, inspection, testing/troubleshooting, repair, assembly and adjustment. Don’t leave anything to chance when servicing your Honda Motorcycle, Scooter or ATV, use only Genuine Honda Service Manuals. For complete coverage, Honda Motorcycle recommends also purchasing the Common Service Manual, item #61CSM00

It is cheaper than a service call for an oil change.

Are you friggin kidding? An oil change is more than $166? I never ever had my bike in for one, but it sure doesn't take an hour. I do my own, and fifteen minutes is about what it takes, and even using probably the most expensive non dealership products (Amsoil oil and filter), my product does not cost $65. Holy Sheep Manure Batman.

My wife's car, for the dealership to do an oil change, is $49.95 plus tax. I am now also doing that myself.

Sorry Viking, I can only go by what others have ranted about. I probably over stated it, so okay, two oil changes. Maybe I should have said an air filter change.
At any rate, I personally always do my own maintenance so I don't know what it costs for a service call but I do know an hours labor is not cheap.

I don't have a 2018 wing but if I did, I would not balk at $166 for a service manual. That is all meant to say I guess.

Sorry to raise your hackles.

I don't think that is a bad price, because it includes the Electrical Manual which is a necessity, especially with the 2018...

I think that Helm prints the factory manuals anyway.

I think I'll order it before the next service is due. BTW, I see there are 2 drain plugs-1 for the crankcase and 1 for the DCT, but only 1 fill hole. If they're connected, why can't they drain out of one spot-which ever is lower?

Evidently another quart gets stuck between them if you only do one, so all got to come out, so I'm told. I wonder where the oil pickup is?

Anyone purchased the service manual from Helminc? If yes, please kindly show some sample pages. Planning to get one, but don't know what the content look like.

In my opinion the service manual is worth the investment. Chapter 3 covers general maintenance and the instructions are clearly laid out. Diagrams are excellent. If you are removing several body parts you can tag the screws and clips by page, diagram and number something like 3-14-3-2. Page 3-14 diagram 3 item number 2. That way the manual becomes a paint by numbers for reassembly. Helpful if you are taking a lot of parts off at once. The manual will easily pay for itself the first time you change your air filter. The manual also provides part numbers for special tools so if you have a big job you can do the cost comparison DIY vs paid service and do what suits your particular situation. I had the shop manual with my 2002 wing and I gave it to the next owner. I ordered the manual for my 18 wing as soon as it was available without even giving it much thought.

I purchased one like I do with all my bikes. This one is well written and easy to follow. The only thing that I want is a 7 ring binder to store the manual in.

No, it is not legit. The only legit source for new manuals is Helm. Honda does not sell PDF versions of its manuals.

The giveaway is from this on the page:
Please note this manual is from a scan and not from the original digital source. That means the pictures are sometimes not perfect quality but still very high quality and overall this manual is totally usable.
So basically they bought a manual, scanned it, made it into a PDF, and are now trying to sell it to you (illegally) for $30.
