Ipod shuffle connection ???

I have an ipod shuffle that I would connect to the provided wire in the left-hand cubby of my 2015 Goldwing. It would then play through the speakers. That wire and cubby are now gone on the 2018. Is there any way to connect the Ipod shuffle to play through the speakers of the 2018. I tried using the charging dock that has a USB connector, plugged into the aux. usb.......but it did not work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, doxbike. A guy on another forum suggested I just download the Ipod playlist onto a thumb drive USB. I had tried this before with the 2015 and found that the former Honda firmware could not read it directly. A buddy who is good at computers fixed that thumbdrive to work. Guess what, I downloaded the new playlist on a thumbdrive, and it worked immediately. Thanks again.
