Dunlop Tires???
Hi all, my new Wing came with Dunlop D423F tires. I've run Bridgestone in the past, does anyone know around what milage I can expect out of the Dunlops? It will be mainly highway miles.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I thank Jesus for everyday I can still throw a leg over and ride

Re: Dunlop Tires???
it would be hard to compare seeing there probably isn't anyone that has worn out a set of tires on an '18 wing

I have run E3 tires on two 1500s and now have one on the front of my 1800....TWOWHEELCOWBOY wrote: ↑Mon May 07, 2018 7:57 pm There has to be someone one here that has run Dulop tires?
the 1800's E3 has around 20,000+ miles, it was on the bike when I bought it.
I have a new one ready to replace it when the beads start showing.
this is what it looks like right now

John, thanks you so very much for getting back to me. Be carful as that Front looks kind of slippery.

oh, it has to be changed before we go to Colorado Springs in six weeks....TWOWHEELCOWBOY wrote: ↑Mon May 07, 2018 8:24 pm John, thanks you so very much for getting back to me. Be carful as that Front looks kind of slippery.
that is why the new on is waiting for me to "get 'round toit"
here at home, on the flatlands, never far from home, it would make another 3000+ miles.
going to Colorado and 2,000 miles from home? uh, no, new tire going on.

Re: Dunlop Tires???
8800 and the left side of the front is a slick, rear not far behind. Thinking about Roadsmart III's or Bridgestone Excedra's if I can find correct sizes. Just as soon not go back to Dunlop 243's with this lousy mileage

Re: Dunlop Tires???
After doing a random search I found some comments on another glforum and a few of those guys have 2018+ Wings. So far, they are saying theirs have as much as 8-10k miles and are looking okay and guestimating they'll get at least a couple thousand more. It doesn't look like too many folks have put any high miles on the new Wing yet to judge how the stock tires will hold up.

Re: Dunlop Tires???
we do ride pretty aggressively, but still should get more mileage, I'd think. Think I'll try the exedra g852/g853 combo this time

Re: Dunlop Tires???
Put the G52/G53 Exedra's on- major improvement over the 243's even when still slick. More rounded profile-fits the handling characteristics of this bike better, IMHO. FWIW, I think this should have been called the ST 1800/1833- it handles a lot like my ST1300 that I had before the gl1500.

Re: Dunlop Tires???
i have 6300 miles on a 2023 wing that i got 3-31-2023. i am down to the wear bars already with the stock dunlops that came on the bike. i am wondering which tire is better, the dunlop 4, that i have been using on other wings, or the bridgstone g853-g. i have had good luck with the e-4s, was wondering if the bridgstones were any better. been getting 12-15k out of the e-4s.C-dub wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 2:14 pm After doing a random search I found some comments on another glforum and a few of those guys have 2018+ Wings.
