Fuel mpg and tank distance
Can any of those who have purchased the 2018 verify honda’s Mpg expectations as well as how far you actually get on a tank of gas? Has anyone measured mpg in the various riding modes? Also, what about the speedometer? Is it accurate or still about 10% off as the previous 1800’s?

40-45 in tour mode when just taking it easy. have gotten 250 on 1 tank. no long trips yet so haven't tested econ mode. I think the lowest was 38 with a combo of sport and tour modes and being a hooligan. MPH off minimally from my gps

Thanks for the info. I’m glad to know that I will still be able to make 220 to 240 miles at a time. I will probably wait another year before trading in my 2009 just to see what tweaks are made and after market add ons are available.

Re: Fuel mpg and tank distance
Just put 198 miles on my new Tour DCT on my first day out. Mostly tour mode, a little bit of sport mode. Totally mixed day: meandering thru rural areas, highway, and some twisties. Speed 30 - 70mph. Computer said I averaged 49.9mpg. When I topped off and did the math (both tops off were filled exactly to the brim), it said 46.6mpg. So the computer being a bit liberal with its estimate.
I'm very happy with this though. I was one of the skeptical about Honda's claims about 20% better mpg. I used to average 43mpg on long trips fully loaded with my wife on my '03, but those were usually long days at speed, 50-70mph in sweepers or straight roads. I can easily see maybe about 49mpg on a long day with mostly constant speeds in Eco mode. So my worries about highly reduced range I think won't be a player.
As an aside, not to get off topic, a few observations: Handling- little bit better than my '03. Acceleration feel- a little bit better than my '03. Noticable, but nothing to write home about. Suspension very smooth, love watching those tie rods jump up and down.
Electronics interface- very cool. Still waiting on my back ordered SENA SRL, so couldn't test out Apple Car Play yet. But could easily scroll thru my phone's playlist etc using iPod mode. I had it plugged in, but will try bluetooth next time. Navigation mode is highly restricted once you start rolling. Really annoying. Some of the menus you can't scroll both sideways and up and down, but not all of them.
Storage is what it is. My biggest complaint and that almost stopped me from buying the bike, but I knew this going into the deal.
DCT really easy to get used to. Very intuitive. Almost like it's got AI or something!

Re: Fuel mpg and tank distance
mileage is improving as the bike breaks in. 225 and still showed 45 mile range. Remember, that's with **** California gas. Elsewhere you should get better.

The low fuel light came on at 243 miles (DCT mostly in tour mode) On board milage calculator indicated 50.1 MPG. Filled it up with non ethanol to the brim and it took 4.935 gallons to fill. That works out to 49.3 MPG. Overall I'm very pleased

Re: Fuel mpg and tank distance
Just found and joined this form after Googling, MPG for 2019 Honda Goldwing DCT tour, bought and collected on 6th June and just put over 200 miles on clock.
I note within this tread various mpg figures mainly with bike in tour mode, surly max mpg would be in econ mode?

Re: Fuel mpg and tank distance
not necessarily- if there are hills on your route, you will find you have to open the throttle further to get up them in econ vs tour mode. Plus it feels veryu lethargic. I would only use econ on a long, straight, flat slabMick1836 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 3:07 pm Just found and joined this form after Googling, MPG for 2019 Honda Goldwing DCT tour, bought and collected on 6th June and just put over 200 miles on clock.

Re: Fuel mpg and tank distance
Hi doxbike, the point I was trying to make was if you were to ride the bike in each mode, tour, rain, sport and econ on an identical circuit how would the mpg then compair?

Re: Fuel mpg and tank distance
Can't answer that-I get too bored with econ or rain mode and switch it back after a few miles
