For those of you who have been somewhat bemused by the shift performance of your DCT transmission (primarily jerky downshifting, odd shift points, abrupt deceleration when closing throttle to disengage cruise control, etc) there is a very owner friendly fast procedure to get your bike's attention:

I just performed this procedure and it took under 3 minutes; no tools or mechanical aptitude required (Whew! )
The test ride afterwards was incredible. Smooth acceleration, deceleration, better speed match for shift points. The whole Magilla.
If the procedure has never been performed on your DCT bike, I would encourage you to give it a try. If you do it on a center stand you can use the parking brake to stop rear wheel rotation.

In the online "newsletter" published today by this site, I was given attribution for the clutch initialization video.
That attribution is completely incorrect. I simply provided a link to a video uploaded by an individual only identified as "FredH" on youtube and other forums.
While I DID perform the procedure, I am NOT the author of the excellent video and this site needs to give credit where credit is due:
Thank You FredH, whomever you are and wherever you may be.
