1800 FOB

I was visiting with the sales mgr at Mid America Power Sports today. He told me a lot about the new 1800.
One thing that he said and many do no know is the fob. You need to be close to the 1800 for it to work, start or unlock.
Also there is a small number on the tab you pull out of the fob at first use. Without that number you cannot get another fob if anything should happen to yours.
Honda nor the dealer has that number correlating to your bike. If you do not have that number it will be up to $1000 to have Honda replace all the electronic system so it will again work. You can use that number to get additional fobs for safekeeping.
