Oil leaking onto front fender.

Post by The Bus Driver »

I wanted to put this out there to see if anyone with a 2018 Goldwing has seen a similar problem. While cleaning up my 2018 Goldwing B I noticed something leaking onto the very back of the front fender.I thought it was brake fluid, because there are brake lines mounted to this part of the fender..The master cylinder was full when I checked it thru the siteglass...I'm not sure if it could be oil from the suspension system...my bike is still under warranty, so I'll bring it to the dealer soon.

You would know if it was brake fluid, because the paint would be eaten away and the plastic of the fender would have started to crack.

The only other oil in that area is from the front shock. Have a look for a leak from or around it.

Some are having Anti-freeze via weep bib located on the front side (L) but it usually resolves itself with no issues long term.

Took it to the dealer for a check...the tech said the front shock was weeping oil, probably because it was overfilled at the factory..It's not logged in if I have any problems down the road...Tony

When you say it is NOT logged in, does that mean they did not make a record of it? If it was me, I would ensure that there was a record, in case seals go in future.
