Honda-commissioned Custom 2019 GL1800

Post by WingAdmin »

Honda commissioned Southern California’s Steady Garage to build a custom 2019 GL1800 to be shown at motorcycle shows, and 90 days later it was shown for the first time at Daytona Bike Week:

I'm not sure if I'm sold on the bolt-on wheel covers they used - too Harley-esque for my liking.

That seat looks awfully cheap... not a fan of that. Looks like the suspension is shot in the rear... :D

I wonder if it's slammed with air suspension. That would explain the low rider look. If it has air, and can be lifted when the bike is moving, then it would have some clearance. I hate the seat, but I like the paint color and the style (F6B). That front wheel ain't my fav either.

You got it. They put an air suspension system in it, with a set of hidden compressors.

Dang that thing is ugly from the front to the back. It makes the wicked witch of the west look like a beauty queen. :-)
The only thing I like about it is the color !

Um, no. Didn't improve the looks of the bike one little bit.

Other than color, seat, and bobbed front fender, I like it. Looks like a F6b fancied up. Love the air suspension where you just lower the bike and it sits on tabs on the frame rail. A lot of custom choppers have gone to that, and I like the idea. Makes the bike hard to move without a wrecker handy.

So they are going to sell it after all in a milder form... Good way to tease a new F6B....

Is it just me that simply wants a new Valkyrie. Based on the new Wing, but naked, styled more like the original Valk.
