Greeting all!
After a 3 year lapse of judgment..I traded my 2008 Wing for a Roadmaster, I am back on a 2018 Goldwing Tour (Manual). And I could not be happier..
There used to be a Honda website that let you record maintenance when you did it or had it done. I cannot seem to locate anything other than the Automotive owners site. Can anyone assist?
On a more tech question, the manual shows how to check weather info via the NAV system. But when I access this screen, it will not let me select weather option. Am i missing something, or does this require XM antenna and activation? I'd just like to check temp like I could easily do on the 2008.
Thanks and iT's great to be back on a Goldwing!
A couple of questions

Re: A couple of questions
The weather feature does require XM activation since that is where it get the information from. It can also get traffic information from them that it can use in tandem with the navigation system along routes and stuff. There was a 90 free trial when I bought mine. Did you not get that with yours?

Thank you! I did not discuss XM when I bought it. My understanding is you have to add an antenna? And pay them to install?

Re: A couple of questions
If you have a XM capable bike from the factory the antenna should already be there just waiting for service activation. XM service isn't cheap, but if you want just the traffic/weather feature I'm getting offers for about $4 or $5 per month. I had the 90 day free trial when I bought mine with radio/traffic/weather and then at the end of the 90 days extended for a year, but with only the traffic and weather. A year later I had realized the traffic information was only available for the major cities/metropolitan areas. I think that year I had it the price was about $6 per month. I may renew it again since I'm getting all these offers in my e-mail.Kickstart1962 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 2:22 pm Thank you! I did not discuss XM when I bought it. If you've not had it activated on your bike it will be considered a new activation and might be a bit high $ at first, but after that initial subscription you'll probably be able to negotiate a far better price. And if you only want the traffic/weather portion it should be even less starting off hopefully.

Re: A couple of questions
I have it on both my cars. You can get it for $5.00 a month. It is a limited package, a good variety of channels, weather and traffic updates, you just need to call them and inquire about it.

Re: A couple of questions
It does not come with sxm antenna, but it is plug and play under the seat. You don't need their $100 one, I used one from an old xm radio-you can buy on amazon for <$15. I mounted my antenna behind the pillion, and it works fine there. On a tour model, you could mount it on the top box. The factory install looks to be a major ordeal. Look under installation instructions from honda
