I wonder if there's an new update coming soon. I'm having a hard time warming up to this unit. I mean I actually grew to like the unit on my 08. Not being able to mute just the GPS is brutal. Trying to save "where I am" is also goofy. You can see where you are. It gives you coordinates. Why not an option to "save as a favorite". No, you have to go back to the map screen, click on the arrow thingy, move the curser a whisker, click the arrow thingy again the add to favorites. And of course if your scale is set high that whisker could be two blocks away. Don't get me started on the "asking the GPS what the next move is". On the 08 you could push a single button and it would say the next move. That could be very helpful at times. It just seems to me they didn't take any good stuff from the old unit.
I have my 665 mounted and I love it but the onboard was always a good second tool. Not anymore.

Re: The onboard GPS
you can mute the gps, it's call navi volume. on the nav screen, hit enter, cursor down (don't ask why it's not right) to navi volume, then decrease with volume switch to 0

Re: The onboard GPS
The problem with is that it's not a true mute. With that volume down at zero every time the GPS talks it still mutes all other audio.

Re: The onboard GPS
Can anyone answer, will the GPS, after 2nd update, allow numbers and spaces in the name of the route? Originally, it wouldn't recognize a route if it contained #'s, or spaces or characters
