Parking Brake
I have a new Goldwing airbag automatic DCT and the parking brake is defective. I use rocks to block the wheel to keep it from moving. the Honda rep has said that a person should only pull the lever 3 or 4 clicks but this is not in the operators manual and somewhat nonsensical. The brake simply won’t hold the bike, even with adjustment. The sales rep has said that Honda will not recognize it as a problem because they have only had 5 complaints at Corporate. They know there have been many complaints and discussions about it on the internet but they don’t consider the internet a valid complaint forum. If you have an issue with the parking brake on your 2018-19 Goldwing, send a complaint to Honda Corporate. i understand they don’t have a good solution yet, but complaints will spark their interest and help them to find the solution faster.

Re: Parking Brake
It's a cable, and it can stretch and go out of alignment. From the number of people reporting it, it appears it may have been just barely within spec from the factory, and it doesn't take much to put it out of spec.
The adjustment is fairly easy, and is done at the back wheel:
Here's the shop manual instructions to check for correct adjustment, and make changes if required:

Thank you. I had heard this and agree that it must have barely met spec.

Re: Parking Brake
These brakes can be tricky the problem is we forget they're set and ride with them on. There is adjustment you can make in the left side panel pull the cover the instructions in the last post are right on. There made to be adjusted you can buy some after market products that will warn you with lights on the dash or even a devise that will prevent you from starting the bike if the parking brake is set. I believe the company is call Electricalconnection based in Tennessee.ill try to post a ling to them

Re: Parking Brake
I would be surprised if Honda had made it so you can ride off with the brake on. It's so not like them. If so, I would just wire in a switch in series with the sidestand switch so it behaves the same. That way you could run the bike with the brake on, but put it in gear that way and it will die.
