I am looking to buy a newer GL1800 with DCT for a custom project.
I will not be using ANY of the plastic body..
I need only a running chassis...
So a machine with body damage only, would be ideal for my needs.
I have been watching my local salvage auctions.. Near Knoxville TN.
BUT NO DCT models have been seen..
Does anyone know of a wrecked DCT GL1800 for sale?

'02 GL1800 lives in Dawsonville, GA now.
My son is going to enjoy it for many years to come.

You need to look over around Nashville, just might be one or two there after the tornadoes there in early hours this morning.

Just curious, what kind of race car are you building?klwinter2 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 12:07 pm I am looking to buy a newer GL1800 with DCT for a custom project.

How did you know??
Do you know of a vehicle called a eco tracer? I think I can reverse engineer one.

The only issue is it seems like you might want to re-gear it, and that is a lot easier with a chain and sprockets.

Regear it.. Can you expand on the topic?

The output shaft and final drive are designed for 16 inch motorcycle wheel/tire. You may be using something different, and would want a different final drive ratio. Easy to do with chain/sprockets, you just change the size of the sprockets. Not so easy to do with a shaft drive.
