Apple CarPlay

Post by gibyg »

I'm picking up my new to me 2018 Goldwing Tour in two weeks. I've read a lot about needing a headset in order to utilize Apple CarPlay and wondered if anyone has tried using it with Apple AirPods? If they work it will save me having to buy a bluetooth headset. This will be a big step up from my like new 92 Aspencade.

Yes Apple car play will work with your AirPods use mine a lot I just set up a older head set I have and leave on or in the bike while riding and apple car play works. I also have a sena 10s on my helmet to use when calling someone or on the phone. Ride Safe Ride A Lot.

Sorry you will need a headset connected to use Apple play I use a simple blue parrot headset to get the apple play to work leave the headset in your bag in my case its my lunch box. But I also use my air pods to receive and make call threw my phone and Apple play. Works well for me I also have Sena 10s in my helmet docent work as well I would save the money and look for a compatible bule tooth head set. Sena is not loud enough for me. Ride Safe Ride A Lot

First turn off your phone BT. Then pair your AirPod to the Wing. Then connect the phone to the usb port. Hope that helps.
