xm radio

Post by toanogreen »

What's the best place run my XM radio antenna wire? I have that long 20' wire that I would like to conceal as much as possible. I have placed the receiver on top of the left brake/clutch bowl and it works well there. I ran the power and aux cable down the handle bar to the left box giving plenty of slack to turn. The magnetic part is on the left front speaker right now. I can move it easily if necessary. I could just stuff all the wire in the box, but that looks cheesy. Any thoughts or ideas?

I have the same antennae. I put mine on the brake reservoir. I ran it along the handle bar and with a 3 foot long wire tie, I ran it along the inside of the body to the back of the bike where I put it in the receiver for it on the radio under the back of the seat. In order to not have a big lump of wire, I cut it short and soldered it back together. I works great.
