Hello all. Just want to introduce myself. I live in the UK, in Lincolnshire. Yesterday agreed to buy my first Gold Wing, after about 30 years of road riding all sorts of bikes. I have looked online for a
So, my choice is a 2019 6speed Bagger in that Matt silver.
It’s a good price (still expensive!) but there’s not that many around TBH. I can only presume people who buy them hang onto them? it’s at the Honda dealer I use (and like) so after mulling it all over......we are only here once aren’t we
I have owned DCT before on the Crosstourer and it was really good BUT it’s not without its own quirks. I have obviously considered waiting a bit for the right DCT Bagger to come along however where I live there’s no motorways, it’s all open A and B roads with fields, cows and 40/50/60mph limits. I do very little town or any city work. So a manual gearbox is fine and everything I can find says it’s a sweet gearbox anyway.
Over the next few days/ weeks I plan to dig into the forum and seek out tips and stuff. Hopefully get the bike in a week or so, just being PDI’d. I negotiated a main stand on it FOC which is great.
So here we go, see if owning Honda’s flagship bike lives upto waiting 30 years to get one!
forum to join and I like the look and layout of this one the best. Not sure if this is the correct place for a ‘newbie’ post so bear with me. I have had many brands over the years but probably Honda is my favourite, just is. I really liked my 1100 Pan Europeans back in the day and had a few. Hello from me - new member

Welcome to the forum.
I recently picked up my 1st goldwing in thirty years...I also have been riding another brand bikes but the practicality and 2 passenger comfort of the wing drove me to the decision to get another one.
Most of the rural roads in USA are like your A and B roads and generally are a pleasure to ride...more so than the motorways (my opinion).
