Can I play mp3s off a USB thumb drive on my 2021 Goldwing Tour?

Hi all, this is my first post on this forum. I have just purchased my first Goldwing - a 2021 Honda Goldwing Tour DCT - and therefore am new to almost everything about it.

I like to listen to audiobooks and sometimes music when I am riding along. I know in order to use Apple Carplay, I need to put my phone in the trunk/top box and connect the cable there, but is there any way to play the 000s of audiobooks and music I have on my home PC via a USB thumb drive?

Yes, that's how I play my music. I wanted to ask if you have read the owners manual yet as there is tons of great information in there including this. You just plug in your thumb drive into the back USB and access it using the source choices.

Does the 2021 Wing have a USB port that is for more than just charging? That's the real question. I've heard it has one for charging, but not really linked to the audio system.

Yes, the back USB port in a tour model is connected to the audio system as I said in my previous post. I have a thumbstick loaded with thousands of MP3s and play them over the audio system every time I ride.

When you say "back" usb are you talking about the one in the left saddlebag? I have one in this location and one in the center console pocket.

I think I figured it out. The airbag models have one in the trunk because they could't put it in the center console pocket anymore because that is where the airbag is.
