I have read a great deal about the ST-2 Brake Module and would like to install one on my Goldwing. The ST-2 is an inertia switch that causes the brake lights to come on when slowing down without using the brakes (from engine braking, for instance). However, their install instructions just have me tapping into the power, brake light, and ground wires directly. While this works fine on older Goldwings (and other motorcycles), I am concerned that this won't work with the CANBUS systems. The ST-2 tech support says it won't interfere or conflict with the CANBUS, but I am still leary. Has anyone here installed an ST-2 on a CANBUS GW? Or does anyone know if installing this per their instructions will (or won't) work?

I had one fitted to my VFR1200 but it didn’t work. Asked for replacement and never got it.
