Fog lights always on

Post by GoldWing808 »

I bought my 2019 DCT used, there were already some things installed (like the trunk sun harness/3rd brake light but no inner trunk light), one of which is the fog light assembly. The issue I’m having is that the lights are always on. Pushing the button causes the green light to illuminate on the dash….but the light are on regardless. High beams/low beams, nothing seems to work. I am assuming that they were installed improperly but, looking at the directions, I’m not sure what could be installed incorrectly, since the button seems to be working and obviously the lights are. Has anyone else ever seen this, or have a better idea of how the Honda lights work? All I’ve seen are for if they don’t illuminate.

Some people wire their lights to be on all the time for more visibility. Another possibility is that it could be a stuck relay.

Should the relay for the fogs be in the fuse box?

The install looks pretty clean, and the part is Honda, so I’m interested if the previous owner installed it or if Honda did.
