Right side pocket not closing

So I seem to have the opposite issue of most people. On other forums I keep seeing people having issues with the ridiculous right side electronic pocket not opening…but mine is having a hard time closing. Of course, after Honda has gone in there and changed the transmission actuator, everything seems to be lined up, since the button releases it just fine and it will eventually stay down, but it just doesn’t latch. I can beat on it and call it all the names, and it won’t do anything. And then as I’m about to give up, it’ll stay latched. I store my T-mobile tracker in there, so it’s not like I only open it for fuel. By any chance, has anyone else head this issue? Does anyone know how the latch it set up, maybe I have to push it harder??

Between the center shelter you have to put your phone in but doesn’t lock and this pocket, I think Honda subcontracted out to a high school shop for this model.
