I thing the upgrade is only for USA GL´s. Not for Europe. The EU version of software has first four letters: HG.EU.........

Not sure if anyone is still looking at this but I have noticed some differences in the upgrade.
First, this thread should be titled 18-23 GL firmware update as it pertains to ALL the GL models. I have not seen a list of the modifications so I am learning as I go.
Second: I am now using a Mac and I had a heck of a time getting the upgrade to process. I finally got it to work (in May) after seeing a revised procedure. Anyway it got done.
Lastly: I haven't really seen any differences, BUT, within the past few weeks I found that even though I am in Automatic mode, I can now upshift and downshift using the handle bar controls (same as manual mode) which I could not do prior to the update. Other than that I haven't seen any changes in the nannyware. I use Apple CarPlay and the Apple Maps for navigation so I can't tell if they have changed or updated.
I wish they had fixed the throttle/dct shifting scheme to be more responsive to throttle changes but at least I can now use the button/lever so I don't have to wait for what seems like an eternity for the transmission to shift when the throttle position changes during acceleration (start off hard and ease up). I also wonder why CarPlay won't work if I am using my second helmet which I have assigned to passenger so I don't have to go through re-pairing every time I use a different helmet. Its not like a passenger is going to be sitting way back there trying to drive.
