2022 Goldwing Tour DCT Headlight LED Bulb

Post by bandit »

Hi, I am just curious. Can the LED headlight bulb be change or is it fixed in the headlight. My worry is if the LED blows, what then.

You spend $1000+ and get a replacement?

LED's can last 30,000 hours or more. That's essentially the lifetime of a vehicle.

30,000 hours at an average speed of 25 MPH is... 750,000 miles.

The headlights are part of an headlamp assembly that is extreemly costly. However, they are OEM LEDs which probably means, unlike aftermarket LEDs, they come with Honda quality and will probably last a really long time.

Hi, does anyone know how to get access to the LED and how to replace them. I looked and looked but don't see any bulbs

There *are* no bulbs, and the LED's are part of the assembly that Rambozo pointed out.

Eish, so the whole light assembly have be replaced if the LED goes. It is seldom that it will outlast the claimed 30 000 hours

At that price, you might as well buy a couple of extras, just in case.

30,000 hours is on the LOW end of the lifetime of the LED's.

I've got an LED shop light that has to be around 87,000 hours or so. It's been on 24x7 for at least a decade.

Of course, that doesn't come close to the incandescent bulb with over a million hours on it at the Livermore firehouse.
