flashing hill/hold and abs light
i have messed up my 2021 Goldwing Tour DCT to put on a new front tire. When I was done on the test drive the transmission started shifting strangely the HSA blinked amber. the Torque Control was blinking and the ABS blinked, drive indicatour and the Tour blink and show as asterisk and I could not accelerate above 40. What can be wrong? Need help when i would let off and then try to speed back up it would work for a while then the Torque control light would come back on and begin to slow down again? any info would be helpful.

Time to backtrack what you did. More details would help.
Maybe left something unplugged?
Pinched some wires jacking it up?
Can you pull any trouble codes?

I have checked wiring. I disconnected the battery, i was told this would do a computer reset. I don't know how to pull codes. I am starting to think it may have something to do with the speed control ring, but I don't know.

You do have the factory service manual, don't you?
Time to get one if you plan on doing your own work. If not maybe time to take it to the dealer, if you feel out of your depth.
The front ABS speed sensor is a very likely candidate.

Fixed and working great again.
I found that I had tightened the pinch bolts before the axel was completely seated.
reseated the axel torqued it correctly and then tightened the pinch bolts, problem solved.
the axel was only off by less than a 16” but what a difference. Thanks to everyone for all the help.

I read about someone else having a similar issue. And if I recall, hill assist was applied. To correct, they had to centerstand and restart. Possibly that is what fixed yours ???

Re: flashing hill/hold and abs light
I've had mine off a few times changing the front tire on my 94 1500. I'm not understanding the lingo here. Always had it on the center stand and put it back up in place by hand and then the bolts. What is a pinch bolt? Same with the rear. That's tougher with lining up the gear and the drive shaft gear, but putting the tire up on blocks to slide it in, always worked for me to line everything up. The rear is much worse than the front. Interesting to not know. It all just came naturally to me. I won't say the ... common sense word... as I don't have much.marshall1947 wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 12:44 pm Fixed and working great again.

Re: flashing hill/hold and abs light
A good friend and his wife bought a brand new DCT trike which was delivered to them with the same exact problem. I trailered it back to the manufacturer and while we had breakfast, they came up with the same fix. After, he rode his new trike home with a big smile on his face all the way.

Re: flashing hill/hold and abs light
The DCT uses the front abs to determine shifting. Any misalignment there is a problem
