Kuryakyn Omni Highway Pegs Won’t Stay in”Up” Position
Just installed a set of Kuryakyn Omni Highway Pegs on my 2023 Gold Wing. Notwithstanding some challenges getting gusset brackets lined up when putting the engine protection bars back on and the ill-fitting base covers against the engine covers, I think they look better than other options and they position very well for me when riding. Unlike the old Ergo II pegs I had on my 2008 Gold Wing, I can’t get the new ones to stay in the “up” position when not in use…they keep flopping down. I’m afraid I’ll snap the bolts off if I try to tighten them anymore. Anyone else have this problem and or know of a solution?

Maybe some photos showing where they are moving?
What size bolt and how much torque?
How about adding a star washer between the moving parts?
Loctite?

Thanks Rambozo. The star washer idea makes sense, but there’s virtually no space for one. Extremely tight tolerance between the peg and Clovis where it connects. I attached some pics, including the base covers to show the poor fit.Just got a note back from the distributor to try a wave washer. I’ve seen some really thin ones, so that’s a possibility too. I don’t think Loctite will work in this case.
