Re: blue toothheadset
Welcome to the forum. Are we talking the 2018+ (latest wing) or the GL1500? A factor is what do your riding friends use. Most BT headsets will talk to one other headset of any brand but more than that and they get challenged with other brands.
I do not have the latest GW version (2015) and am running a SENA headset and a SENA FREEWIRE.

Google is your friend. Don't think you need that on a 2021 as it's all built in these days.

I like the Sena 10Upad system as it is a very clean installation but only on certain model helmets. I have this but honestly don't use it very often. Otherwise, there are helmets with built in Bluetooth.

Kinda difficult, but Andy's answer above is probably close - without actually seeing one first-hand.
Another suggestion is to go find a brick-and-mortar establishment to physically ask questions that you might not even know you need to ask while shopping for a BT system. Yes, that might mean a ride to the big city to find a place like Cycle Gear, or, perhaps, a full-line Harley dealership that has helmets and other goodies that might not be brand-specific to do some shopping.
Other brands *will* work, but I seem to have read elsewhere that the Honda system was designed with Sena systems in use...which makes sense, since Honda America is in Torrance, CA and Sena's headquarters is just down the road in Irvine, CA.

Re: blue toothheadset
I have a Sena 20S pair that I used on my '16 1800. I now have a '21 DCT and bought a Sena Impulse full face helmet with Harden Karmen speakers. Very nice.
There are cheaper set ups that I used on my 1500 but I prefer this one. One gripe about the DCT is Honda BT has positions 1 and 2 where 2 is considered the rider and will not allow apple CarPlay to start. If I use my older Sena on a helmet I can't use CarPlay without reconfiguring the BT which is a real pita. Still, the double wish bone front end and 7 speed DCT cover a lot of drawbacks, not to mention the electric windshield.

Search for @NavyGator - he has some extensive 'how to' guides on gettings things set up correctly on the general topic of 2018+ Goldwings and Bluetooth gear.
