Converted ignition
Just got into '76 gl1000 - previous owner has converted to pointless ignition - we are not running quite yet after setting for 10+ years but am wondering if anyone has knowledge or source of info on such a conversion - .......

Re: Converted ignition
Dynatek is one of the most common conversions in the day of the GL1000 and they still support the product today. You can get documentation on there web site today, but not back in the day lol. I have the documentation for the DS1-3 system so if you think that is what you have and cannot google the info then PM me and I can email it.

Re: Converted ignition
Thank You! for the feedback - this is a real interesting website!
I just got this machine running yesterday - runs quite good - still have lots of tlc stuff to do but it looks to be an interesting bike.
Need to sync carbs, clean brake systems, install some different exhausts (replacing the originals) & just a lot of cleaning & shining.
It is all original except the seat - has a vetter w/sound - so with time it should be an attractive bike.
Thanks again & I'll be in touch.
