I've noticed that the "clear" plastic reservois (sp?) is hazy and 'crazed'. I think it could be due to 36 years of UV rays, etc. Is there an aftermarket or cross-reference piece that would work? If not, I'm thinking maybe I should paint it to protect it from further sun damage. Is there a particular primer and paint that wouldn't eat the plastic?
Thanks in advance.

The only one I know of ,offhand, is at www.Randakks.com . As for paint, There is a paint available that is primarily for plastic. Called Fusion. Wally World carries it.

Re: 1976 GL Front Brake Master Cyl Res. Question
Thanks, DD. By the way, I like your scoot. That's very close to what ours looked like when we bought it. But I 'officially' bought it for The Wife, and she surprised me by stating that "the only color for a motorcycle is BLACK".
So since it wasn't the original paint, I relented and had it painted 'her' color, even though I had already started receiving compliments on the yellow.
She lets me ride it when I'm not on my 94A.

Re: 1976 GL Front Brake Master Cyl Res. Question
Well I have to agree with her about black. I have made that same statement many times. My 1500 is black. Then I will have to agree with you about yellow. That isn't the original paint or the original sulphur yellow but a somewhat brighter yellow that I chose when I rebuilt it. Wanted to kind of stick to original but different.

Re: 1976 GL Front Brake Master Cyl Res. Question
I just bought a new front brake master cyl res. on E-Bay for $35.00 he said it is a NOS part, it sure looks nice. I have not used it yet because I am still rebuilding the front forks.
