High Idle
My GL1000 has a high idle problem, after it worms up the idle jumps up to 2800 rpm, if I shut it off then start it back up it stays at 1150 rpm untill I give it some gass then back up to 2800 rpm. I can do this over and over with the same results. I have reset the points and timing, and cleened up the mec. advance [that was stuck at full] and I cant find any vacume leeks.Any sujestions would be great.
Re: High Idle
make sure it is seating against the idle screw. The cable might be tight.

I agree with TheArtist, also check the cable route and be sure a throttle actuation get a snap back.

Re: High Idle
Run two full tanks of fuel before any rebuild. Using MMO, Seafoam, or similar product is worth a try too. These carbs need no attention when used regularly.
