different carbs together?

Post by zach75gl »

I was looking at my carbs while overhauling them and I notice that one carb is off a 77 and the other 3 are off a 75 which is what I have. I have been having issues with getting it running right and was courious if the 1 carb being a 77 could be an issue I should worrie about? The carbs look identical but looks can be deciving

I personally could not speep at night knowing it was not the right carb, but really they are different. I would buy one . things just need to be balanced.

Physically they look the same but some of the bore sizes are different. You can't mix and match without running into problems even if you do change the jets.

It looks like I've got 75 carbs on my 77. How concerned should I be? What kind of issues will this cause?

It will be just a touch faster, no downsides that I know of except it would not meet OEM 1977 US emission standards.
