starter switch
Anybody know if it's possible to buy a new starter switch/run/off assy. for a 1976 GL1000 ?

Why not go to a Honda On-Line site and find out? The people on eBay are buying parts from Honda and reselling them to you so, why not buy from Honda? Western Honda of AZ. is your best source for parts as they traditionally have the lowest prices. Every other dealer will charge more. Go here: http://www.westernhonda.com/fiche_selec ... veh=123280. This page is for your '76. Select the 'Handle lever@cable@switch' category and you'll find your part. If a part shows a price, it's available. If it shows 'Call for price', that's 'Honda speak' for "We don't make it anymore."

I replaced my starter button with a Radio Shack push button for under $2 about 12 years ago. It's still working fine.
