hot, hot, hot, why?
Greetings from Spain. First, sorry for my English because it is not very good. I call on the experts of the Forum to consult the operation of my wing of the 79. My question is this: is normal that rolling road to 40-45 mph and 85 ° F ambient temperature start the fan?. The fan starts 3/4 parts of white Uptown, and stop to 1/4 part but it costs much lower. Water pump works well and the coolant is new. Thanks for the replies

Welcome to the forum. Your bike is running normal. Not much airflow at 45mph. If the fan starts and drops the temperature, all is well.

Sounds normal to me, I most notice at idle as I cannot really tell when it is running down the road. But at 30C and 73 kph mine would occasionally run too.

Thanks for the replies. Actually many years ago that I have this bike and I have always believed that was a bad chronic, but I see that it is normal. I've been in the idea that any component was bad on the refrieracion system because it compared with the car in the form of work. Not me seemed a normal thing because not understood that road to start the fan and one time you start costing much stop. As the load power is weaker the battery suffers a lot. Thanks you again. I see many experts in this forum and think it is one of the best. Best regards
