Wheel Swap
I was wondering if the wheels and tires off the 1983 Aspencade would work on my 1976 GL1000. Would the rotors work? Final Drive? I remember someone posting something about doing this at some point. Was it Fred ?

rear wheel will not fit 1000 final drive. You could fit complete 1100 swing arm, drive unit and wheel but it's a fair bit of work. Definitely NOT a direct swap.
Front wheel will go in but the brakes are also not a direct swap. Can't remember off the top of my head what's needed but I know the discs are thinner than the 1000 so I guess the callipers need to be changed, which may mean that the sliders need to be swapped for the 78 -79 ones.
Don't think the wider 1100 tyre will fit under the1000 fender either.
