Painting My '79

Post by bluec10 »

Hey,

Got a message saying the forum missed me so here's an update. Been prepping for paint. Too cold to paint now. Sanding like a mad man. Going with metallic silver and very dark grey metallic stripes. Thinking of going with black Honda wing stickers on the tank.

Biggest decision was to restore the Windjammer. Mine is too far gone so I'm looking for a restorable replacement. Wasn't going to go with the fairing but when you live on the prairie wind is a big issue.

There are a ton of 'Jammers laying around. Some in local salvage yards, and on ebay and Craigslist. Can be had pretty cheap, too, seeing as how you don't need the bracket or wiring harness.

Keep on keeping us posted.
