Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can tell me about these wheels and if they would fit my 76 GL1000 ? they are on offer and the seller has it as GL1000 but I am sure that only spoke were available for the 1000 range.

Re: GL wheels?
Well,I've spent a few hours scouring the web and I can not verify what the rims came off from.
They look like Honda style, but the casting design isn't like any I've had.78-88 wings.
My 78 also had spoke rims....
I can't say they that they won't fit but I can't verify that they will either.....
Sorry,not much help from here.....

Re: GL wheels?
I was under the impression that Goldwings with spoked wheels could only be fitted with the same spoked wheel. Maybe I read wrong??.
I had a 75 and a set of 79 wheels but was told the 79 wheels wouldn't fit properly on the 75.

Re: GL wheels?
well folks, just to close this thread. The wheels are made in Japan and are 7 star mag wheel. they are also known as Henry Abe wheels and are sold on eBay reasonably cheaply. front is 19" and rear is 16". One thing i like about them is that they fit tubeless tyres (tires).
They were also made for CB750's.
My seller give me a very good price which included a starter motor, starter repair kit and a fuel gauge for just a few dollars above the price of the wheels, so I had a good day hunting for spares.

Re: GL wheels?
I am in the process of restoring the front Abe wheel and I have few questions for the group. There are two markings on the wheel: 1. JWL which stands for "Japanese Light Alloy Wheel" (no problems) and
2. N.DOT, some kind of DOT marking I think.
N.DOT is what puzzles me. Does anyone know if this is a DOT mark or not.
