Hand Grips

Hey all I have a 1978 GL1000 and want new hand grips with throttle assist. First I have foam and chrome ones now and not sure how the end caps come off? Second are all grips the same (size, universal) or do I need something for Honda? And 3 where is the best place to get them? Thanks

The endcaps don't need to come off to get the grips off. The bars are standard size.

The bars on Goldwings are 7/8 inch. Not all bikes are the same. Most Harleys are 1 inch for example.

I have a 1978 GL1000 also, I got grips from RANDAKK'S . He calls them amazing grips . Check them out, I really like them.

I bought the foam grip covers for my 1500. Best $10.00 I have ever spent.

The bars are 7/8" but you have to measure the length because a lot of grips are too short for the old Wings.
