Hi all
I've just got my 1977 gl1000 back up and running due to a topic I posted a few weeks ago. I got alot of good suggestions and she's running great. Only problem now is my clutch is slipping really bad. I have the right oil in it. Changed couple of weeks ago. And I fitted new set of heavy duty ebc clutch plates. About 6 months ago. After found it was slipping. When I removed the old set . I found they still had some life in em. But opted for new as already had the engine out and dint fancy having to do the job again. When setting the adjuster up. Should it be just firmly in then lock it? I thought it was ok but engine never ran as sweet as it does now. And I think the extra power is causing the slip. Thanks for any suggestions and ideas as im running out of both.
Does anyone know anything about clutches???

Your clutch cable must not be adjusted correctly. If it is grabbing securely, you're new engine should not be able to make it slip. Adjust the cable to allow 1/4" to 5/8" (5 to 15 mm) of free play at the lever end.
