front wheel compatibles
I am fixing up a 77 gl 1000 that a friend has given me. I have just started digging into it. Will the front wheel and rotor off of a 81 parts bike we have fit? The front forks and wheel were bent in an accident and I have new forks on the way. I plan to get the correct spoke wheel but am hoping to be able to wait for a while to spend the $.

The short answer is no.
The long answer is much too long. Hub width, rotor thickness, rotor offset, axle spacers. For temp fix, forget it.
