75 goldwing oil in starter???
I have a 75 gl1000 ive had the starter out a number of times to clean it this time when I took it out I had oil dripping out of the spot the starter goes and im trying to figure out how it is getting in there. I don't see oil leaking from anywhere else on the bike!

The oil is supposed to be there. That's why there's an O ring on the end of the starter.

Side stand or center stand? If it is dripping out on the center stand, seems like it may have been over filled or perhaps the petcock was open and there is now gas in the oil making it overfilled.

Ok thanks I wasn't sure because I've never had oil come out before when I took the starter out.

Oil coming out on the side stand is common for a normal oil fill, but not more than a half cup for sure. When I do it on the center stand, which is dicy as the chain can move out of place, then no oil is expected to come out. Having the bike on the side stand tends to keep the chain where it needs to stay.
