Hi, I have a naked '78 GL1000. i want a more bobber style. Can I run a rear wheel in the front? Is it hard to modify?
Also, If I can, can I run '76 wire wheels.
I'm new. I'm not a mechanic. Forgive me if my questions are silly.
Thanks, Shawn

Sorry, not possible.

Easy change-over for the rear, bolts straight in. The front not so easy. For a non-mechanic the easiest way would be a complete fork, wheel and brakes swap from an early model.

Shawn, the silly questions are the ones you don't ask before you start. Gathering information on your project beforehand is in no way silly.
Thanks, Shawn
'Impossible' is just a level of difficulty! The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask first!

Thank you so much Old Fogey.
Direct answers with great explanations.
The news wasn't all good, but now I know.
