Hey guys, first post here!
My brother gave me his busted '77 GL1000 because he doesn't have the time or money to fix it since he got another bike. It's pretty stripped down and has some bent valves and such from the timing belt snapping on the freeway. I'm going to have a mechanic look at it pretty soon to see what it'll take to get it running again.
Besides the mechanical work it needs, it's ugly as hell and I think cleaning some things up and installing some full length fenders would fix that. Do any of you know where I can find fenders like the ones on the GL's in the attached pictures? Or at least what fenders off another bike would be a good fit?
Thanks for your help!

Good luck with that. It may be more cost effective to find a good running engine than to bother trying to repair a bike that suffer a broken belt failure.valentin_84 wrote:Hey guys, first post here!

The damage often can be and is quite extensive and parts cannot be found.
I'd say most if not all of those fenders were custom made.
Indian used to have those fenders fifty+ years ago.
