I replaced the handlebars on my 1978 GL1000 with shorter straighter bars. Now, the throttle cables need to loop out and make a much more severe turn going around to the left side of the bike and because of this, they do not slide as easy. So it looks like I need shorter cables so the turn is at less of an angle. My question is, how do I go about this? How do I guarantee that they will fit my GL1000 since they obviously won't be designed specifically for the bike?
Thanks for your help guys as always.

I had to do this for my wife's bike, only I needed longer cables, not shorter, as I had modified her handlebars. I ordered a custom set from Motion Pro:Lastwachter wrote:I replaced the handlebars on my 1978 GL1000 with shorter straighter bars. Their site explains how to determine exactly what to order custom cables. They made my cables custom to match, and they worked great.
