Somehow, somewhere I lost the key to my 83 Interstate. What would be the procedure to change out the switch?
Thanks

Re: Ignition switch replacement
No need. If you can read the code from one cylinder, then a replacement can be made inexpensively.

$5.50 each includes shipping. Cannot go wrong. Ordered several and all work perfectly.

Thank you for the info. I got it out and took it to a locksmith. $50.....down the drain. On the bright side I will use the site for the luggage keys..

My lock was stuck so I changed my ignition switch out from this one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390838678988?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
It's not an OEM, but it works well. The only problem is, you can't open the "glove compartment" without the other key. No worries, just carry two keys instead of one.

Even my local rip off Honda dealership will cut a key by code for $10.
