Coincidentally, today in the Netherlands I purchased a new / never used OEM Honda GL1000 muffler offered at $1.600,- for $ 1.300,-...........for spare purposes, since my 1975 K1 with 11.000 mls on the odo has a muffler with 95% condition........
My K1 and my 1990 Yahama SRX600 (with 900 mls on the odo), the latter donated to my son last year......
The latest offering af a NOS OEM Honda GL1000 muffler in the Netherlands was approx. 1,5 years ago.........offered at $ 2.550,- (incl. both headers) ........the Motorcycleshop did refuse me 2 times to negotiate.......actually it was sold within 6 weeks!......afterwards I noticed that a couple of GW-guys I know have been in contact with him too...

Well....eeeeh....rather narrow minded assumption not meeting the true reality imo......
I still want to see more pics of that beautiful Lotus you have, too
There is no way on Earth that I would part with that kind of money for the exhaust system. Especially as they are now being remanufactured by another company to the exact original spec for £800. The materials are superior and the only downside is that they are not stamped with the Honda number.

I had a look at a set that David Silver had on his stand at Stafford and I thought they were beautifully made. I notice that they are not shown on David Silver's website anymore though.

Can't understand why that exhaust on ebay didn't sell
There is also a business in Australia that hand builds replica stainless steel systems for 1100s. Overlander motorcycle exhausts. He used to make our 6 into 6 systems for cbx club. Quality product. Will cost me near on $1500 all up for full system. Think it's around 750 if you want just the silencers... https://dropbears.com/overlander/
